Full-Arch Restoration

More Than a Denture. More Than an Implant.

Implant-supported dentures combine the stability of dental implants with the function of a full-arch restoration — a meaningful upgrade for patients who want more than a traditional removable denture can offer.

How This Differs From a Traditional Denture

Anchored, not just resting on the gums.

A traditional removable denture rests on the gums and jawbone, held in place by suction and the shape of the arch. Over time, as the jawbone naturally changes shape, that fit can loosen — which is why a denture that felt secure at first can start to shift, click, or need adhesive later on.

An implant-supported denture is instead anchored to dental implants placed in the jawbone. The denture attaches to those implants, which gives it a level of stability a purely gum-supported denture doesn't have. Because the implants also stimulate the bone the way natural tooth roots once did, they help address the bone loss that continues under a conventional denture.

Who This May Be Right For

It starts with an evaluation, not a checklist.

Implant-supported dentures tend to be worth discussing for patients missing all or most of the teeth in an arch who want more stability than a removable denture provides, and who have enough bone to support implants — or who could get there with bone grafting. Long-term goals matter too: some patients prioritize the security of a more fixed solution, others prefer the simplicity and lower cost of a conventional denture.

Not every patient is a candidate. Bone support, overall health, and what you want out of the restoration all factor into whether this is the right direction — which is why the conversation starts with an exam and imaging, not an assumption.

  • Wants more stability than a removable denture

The Decision

Removable vs. implant-supported.

Campo Dentistry offers both traditional dentures and implant-supported dentures. Neither is the "better" option in every case — the right one depends on your situation and what you're solving for.

Traditional Removable Dentures

Rest on the gums and are removed for cleaning. Lower upfront cost, no surgery involved, and a well-established option — though fit can change as the jawbone changes over time.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Anchored to implants placed in the jawbone for added stability and to help preserve bone. Involves implant placement and healing time as part of the process.

Working through this decision with Dr. Campo means looking honestly at your bone health, your budget, and what matters most to you — not steering every patient toward the same answer.

The Campo Approach

Placement and restoration, planned together.

Campo Dentistry handles both implant placement and restoration in-house — the surgical and the restorative side of the same treatment. As with single-tooth implants, position and depth are mapped as part of a digital treatment plan, informed by 3D CT scanning, before any implant is placed.

Having both stages handled by the same practice, and the same doctor, means one continuous plan for your case — from the first evaluation through the final fit of your denture.
