Campo Dentistry uses CEREC technology to offer same-day crowns for many cases — often without a temporary crown or a second appointment. When a crown is the right treatment, Dr. Campo will let you know whether your case is a good fit for same-day placement.
What a Crown Does
A full-coverage cap that restores strength and shape.
A dental crown covers a tooth entirely, restoring its shape, strength, and function. Crowns protect teeth weakened by damage or decay, support a tooth after root canal treatment, anchor a bridge in place, or serve as the visible restoration on top of a dental implant.
When a Crown May Be the Right Choice
Not every damaged tooth needs a crown.
A crown may be considered for significant decay, a cracked tooth, a tooth with a large failing restoration, protection after root canal therapy, or cosmetic restoration where veneers aren't the appropriate option. But a crown is a more involved treatment than a filling, and we evaluate whether a filling or another conservative option would serve the tooth just as well before recommending a crown.
Same-Day / CEREC Technology

CEREC technology changes what a crown appointment can look like. Rather than a traditional mold, an impression, a temporary crown, and a second visit weeks later, the tooth is scanned digitally and, for many cases, the crown can be designed, milled, and placed in the same appointment.
